What's the real difference between a robot vacuum and a robot mop

Strip away the marketing and the two machines are built around opposite actions.

A robot vacuum uses suction plus a rotating brush roller, or a pair of spinning side brushes, to lift dry debris (dust, crumbs, pet hair) off the floor and into a dust bin.
